Brockweir & Hewelsfield Village Shop and Cafe, Forest of Dean.

Walking through the door at lunchtime there was a sigh of reliefe this shop is just what we were hoping to find but not hopeful enough to be looking for! What luck to come across it.

cafepeople-1Free Wifi, which is fast and easy to access.

A large range of teas and coffees.

An excellent vegetarian range.

Helpful staff- When I asked if their soup was vegan they went as far as getting their shop recipe book out to find out.

There doesn’t seem to be much of a vegan option in the cafe, they couldn’t tell me if the soup used butter or not and offered no alternative, almost if not all of their menu was suitable for vegetarians.

However, there was great range of vegan products and whole foods available in their shop area, raging from locally produced flours, spread and seeds, to Tartex spread, (very expensive) vegan milks, Nakd raw food bars, breads and eco household products.

Many of their shop products are supplied by local farmers, artists and producers so overall this was well worth missing a trip to telcos for.
